Mitchell Oil Painting Conservation

Robert Mitchell - Oil Painting ConservationThis is a family run painting conservation studio established in February 1971 by Robert Mitchell.

During that period Robert Mitchell has personally conserved over sixty thousand oil paintings of all periods and size making the studio one of the most experienced in the world.

Rejecting the old fashioned hot iron glue and bees wax techniques we concentrate on low pressure, low temperature bonding with eight different types of global warming friendly linings to best suite your painting.
